Energy Toolbase Overview

Energy Toolbase is an industry-leading software platform for modeling and proposing the economics of solar PV and energy storage projects. They also provide controls for Energy Storage Systems. 

We have direct integration that allows users to import solar PV designs, 8760 production data, layout images, and equipment from HelioScope into Energy Toolbase with one click.

This article will walk through how to bring in designs from HelioScope into Energy Toolbase for financial modeling and proposals.

How to Import Designs into Energy Toolbase

There are two ways to import HelioScope designs into Energy Toolbase from HelioScope. One way is to link your HelioScope account with Energy Toolbase. The other is to use the Hourly Production Report CSV interval data exported from a design.

How to Link Your HelioScope and Energy Toolbase Account

  1. Link your HelioScope account within Energy Toolbase
    1. Go to energytoolbase.com and login to your account
    2. Click Company Settings 
    3. Click Solar PV Settings 
    4. Under HelioScope enter your username and password (scroll all the way down to see it)

     

  2. Import a design from HelioScope
    1. Open a proposal within Energy Toolbase
    2. Under "Solar PV" click "Add PV System"
    3. Select the "HelioScope Import Design" button
    4. Choose the Project you want to import
    5. Choose the Design you want to import

     

You can then proceed as normal within Energy Toolbase to create your project. You can learn more about Energy Toolbase at their Home Page or by watching their Video Demos.

How to Import the Hourly Production Interval Data from HelioScope Design

To just use interval data from a project, export the Hourly Production Data from a design as shown here. In your Energy Toolbase account, select the Spreadsheet Interval Data option and copy and paste the last column of the Hourly Production Data from your HelioScope design.
