Note: This feature is part of a staggered release. If you don't yet have access to these losses, they will be added to your account shortly.
Custom losses can be added to the Condition Set to account for various loss scenarios. This feature is only available on HelioScope V2.
Irradiance Losses
In addition to soiling, Snow losses can be added. These are derates to irradiance due to snow accumulation on modules. To add snow losses, click the "Add Snow Loss" button.
Next, add the loss percentage for all months using Set All, or add it individually by month.
Energy Losses
Additional losses can be added in the Energy Losses section of the Condition Set. Click "Add Loss..." and select the loss to add from the drop-down.
Light-induced Degradation
This loss is a constant derate factor to AC Output to compensate for immediate degradation of module performance within hours of exposure to light.
System Unavailability
This loss is a derates to AC Output to simulate the system being offline. This loss can be defined for a set month of for all year.
Other Losses
Selecting "Other" allows for three additional losses to be added. These losses can be defined for a set month of for all year. The name and description of these losses can be edited using the pencil icon.
