To orbit the view in 3D, hold down the Shift key while clicking and dragging the mouse. Pulling the mouse up and down will tilt the perspective, while dragging the mouse left and right will rotate the view. Then click the Recenter View icon to snap back to a top-down perspective of the array. Recenter View is in the top right corner of the designer, as shown here:
