We are updating the New Experience based on user feedback to make it easier to use and more efficient. These updates will be rolled out gradually over the next couple of months to provide users adequate time to acclimate to the new functionalities and navigation.
At this time, we do not plan to discontinue the Classic version. However, all new features , such as the recently introduced Bifacial Modeling and P90 features, will be exclusively released in the New Experience.
The first updates are to the navigation menu and user interface. The images below highlight what you can expect to see when working in the New Experience.
When you log into the New Experience, the navigation menu will appear at the left of the screen. Selecting either the HelioScope icon at the top or the double arrow at the bottom will expand the menu.
The expanded menu will quickly identify the 3 main categories: Projects, Libraries, and user/team Settings. You can also switch to classic mode or Logout down at the bottom.
Making a selection from one of the 3 main categories shown above causes the navigation bar to expand further, showing all the available options contained within. You will notice that the original portion of the navigation menu has collapsed on the left. This is designed to allow you to quickly move between different areas of the interface.
The Resource Center has been added to the top right of the page. This is a one-stop-show to learn more about what's new in HelioScope, find useful information, as well as get help when needed.
Projects is the only category that expands further based on a selection outside of the navigation menu. Once a project is selected, you will be presented with all the available project options specific to the project you are working with.
