In this next wave of New Experience updates, we labored to improve the Projects page. Previously, the project list consisted only of the most recently edited projects and lacked any kind of sorting. Additionally, users were required to open a project to generate links to share their projects with other users. Considering the functionality in Classic as well as user feedback, we implemented the following changes:
New Search Engine
Search through the team's entire project list to quickly find a project you or your team created. Trying to find a project that was shared with you from outside your team? Not to worry as the search results include these as well! Simply search by project name, description, or address.
New Project Categories
There are three lists to select from to refine your search for a particular project. It's important to note that the tab selected will also limit the search engine's results to that project type.
- All Projects: Includes all projects created by you and your team as well as any projects that have been shared with you from outside your team.
- My Projects: Any project you have created.
- Archived: Includes any projects that you have personally archived.
Additional Sorting Options
Can't remember the exact address or name of a particular project? You can quickly search by any of the above mentioned criteria (partial names/addresses work as well) and use column sorting to help find the project in the list. Clicking a column header will sort the list in ascending (first click) or descending (second click) order. The following columns allow sorting:
- Project Name (Name and description of the project)
- Owner (User that created and/or owns the project)
- Updated (Date and time the project was last modified)
Rename, Share, or Archive a Project Right From the Projects Page
Renaming, sharing, and archiving projects can all be done from the Projects page. Once you have located the project, select the ellipsis to the right and select the action you wish to perform.
Note: You must be the project owner or Admin on the same team to rename or share a project. Archiving a project only moves it to Archived for your account/view.
