We’re making some important changes to HelioScope in the coming months. Below are some common questions and answers about the upcoming changes.
Starting in October we will enforce in-app the 10-project per license monthly balance identified in our Terms of Use.
Also as part of these changes, we are increasing the design capacity for our Basic Plan. We will increase the design capacity for our Basic Plan from 500 kW to 1.25 MW.
How can I find out how these changes impact me?
Starting on July 12th you’ll receive an email with personalized information on how you may be impacted by these changes based on your usage. We’re here to support your team during this transition and are happy to answer any questions.
In-Product Usage Enforcement
When will in-product project usage be enforced?
Starting in October, we will begin enforcing the project balance for your subscription period determined by the number of active licenses as described on the pricing page and contained in our Terms of Use since September 6th, 2022.
How are project balances calculated?
Each Basic monthly license includes 1 user seat per license and 10 projects that can be used within the subscription period. Each annual user license includes 1 user seat and 120 projects that can be used at any point throughout the annual subscription period.
Unused projects do not roll over to the next subscription period.
Do unused projects on a monthly license rollover to the next month?
No, unused projects do not roll over to the next monthly billing cycle.
You can purchase additional licenses or change your plan type to annual by navigating to [beta.helioscope.com/settings/team/billing].
How does the 10-project per license balance work for annual licenses?
Annual user licenses will have access to 120 projects per year at any time, versus 10 projects each month on the monthly plan.
You can purchase additional licenses or change your plan type to annual by navigating to [https://beta.helioscope.com/settings/team/billing].
What if I have multiple licenses?
Note that your project balances across all of your licenses can be stacked together. For example, if you have 3 monthly Basic licenses that equates to 30 projects to use monthly across your whole team..
When does my project balance refresh?
Your balance refreshes upon renewal. This balance and renewal date are visible on your billing page.
How can I track my project usage to date?
Starting on July 12th you can log into beta.helioscope.com/settings/team/billing to see your project usage in the past 12 months. This new feature helps you understand your pattern of project usage and determine your license needs going forward.
Is the allotted design capacity changing for the Basic Plan?
Yes, it is increasing. We will increase the design capacity for our Basic Plan from 500 kW to 1.25 MW.
What happens if I create a project over 1.25MW (dc) on the Basic plan?
Currently, customers on a Basic license that create only a limited number of projects (i.e., approximately one (1) project per team per month or up to twelve (12) projects per team per year) that exceed the current design size threshold as outlined on our pricing page will not be required to upgrade to a Custom plan. Please note that these projects will count towards the Basic license monthly project limit as outlined on our pricing page.
How many licenses can I have on my team?
There is a max number of 5 licenses per team.
