What is a DAE file?
A DAE file is a Digital Asset Exchange file format that can be used by 3D applications and imported into PVsyst as a Shade Scene.
How to Export DAE Files
To export a DAE file in HelioScope Classic, click on the Exports in the Design tab. Select PVsyst Export (.dae).
In HelioScope New Experience, click the Overview section from the Project Configuration tab. Select PVsyst Export.zip file in the Project Files Exporter section.
NOTE: Only Keepouts and Field Segments are exported. Tree Keepouts are currently excluded.
Size Limitations
Currently, DAE files are limited to 1.25MW DC in size. Designs exceeding 1.25MW large can run into difficulties such as slow import into PVsyst. Unless designing very simple arrays, it is best to break designs into easily manageable blocks.
