Account Settings

Anyone with a HeliScope account can access Account Settings, but the available options are limited based on the user's role.

  • Admins have full access to all settings, including the ability to edit the Overview page, manage billing details, and modify user permissions.
  • Team Members have more limited access. They can view and edit designs, but cannot edit the overview page or access billing information.

To access Account Settings, select the account name at the bottom left of the screen, then click on Account Settings.

Account

Under the Overview tab account information like first and last name and company name can be updated. Note that users cannot update their account email address. To update it, please contact HelioScope Support at support@HelioScope.com 

The account Preferences tab is where project and design default settings can be adjusted. The options are:

  • Units: Distance (feet or meters) and Conductors/Wiring (American Wire Gage AWG or Metric mm2).
  • Default Profile: When a Project Profile is created, the default profile will be used for every new project.
  • Design Renders: This shows the preferences for what array details are included in the design render image.
  • Designer: Labels are showns around Keepouts and Field Segments. The size of these labels can be increased, decreased or turned off. These flags will appear around every polygon with the precise dimensions, even when they are not being edited

Team Settings

The Overview tab in the Team setting is where the team's general settings, permissions, and preferences are managed in HelioScope. It’s the central place to configure team details and project sharing.

Team Information

Company Name identifies your organization in HelioScope.

Permission Sharing

Project Sharing Controls whether team members can access and collaborate on projects.

  • Enabled: Team members can access and edit any project their team creates.
  • Disabled: Only project owners or specific members can access a project.

Preferences

General

  • Currency: Set the default currency for financial data (USD, EUR, etc.).
  • Locale: Choose your region for language and date format.
  • Themes: Select the default reports theme for your team

Weather Files

  • Preferred File Type: Choose your preferred weather file (e.g., TMY3, EPW).
  • Weather File Radius: Set the radius for pulling weather data around your project location.

Project Exports

  • Design Files: Control which design files can be exported.
  • Energy Simulation Reports: Enable or disable exporting hourly production reports.
  • Other Reports: Enable or disable exporting custom reports.
